【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesatestmethodfordeterminingtheeffectivesealingcapabilityofintumescentmaterialsorsystemsinthecontextofsealingdoor-to-frameclearancesintimberdoorassemblies.Intumescentsealsextendthedurationforwhichthegapbetweentheleafedgeandtheframewillsatisfytheintegritycriteriaofthefireresistancetest,andsealingsystemscanbecomparedusingthismethod.Themethodissuitableforevaluatingtheefficacyofexposedintumescentsealingsystemsusedinconjunctionwithtimberfireresistingdoorsofupto1hfireresistance.Itisnotsuitableforcomparingconcealedintumescentseals.Theresultscanbeappliedtoproven,single-acting,single-leaf,latched,timberdoorassembliesofsizesuptothatgiveninthefieldofdirectapplication.ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletotimberdoorassemblieswhoseintumescentsealshavebeentestedinaccordancewithISO3008andhavesatisfiedtheintegrityand—ifappropriate—theinsulationcriterion,whilstincorporatinganotherformofheat-activatedsealforaperiodappropriatetotheapplication.Thesuitabilityofanysealingsystemforuseontimberdoorassembliesofanyotherconfiguration(i.e.unlatchedsingledoors,doubleleafassembliesetc.,ordoorsconstructedofothermaterials)canonlybeevaluatedbysubjectingafull-sizeddoorassembly,completewithseals,totestinginaccordancewithISO3008.Themethoddoesnotprovideanymeasureoftheabilityofthesealtoresisttheflowofsmoke(althoughagapthatissealedwillprovideareductionintheflowofhotproductsofcombustion)oranyinformationastotheadditionalprotectionthatcouldbeneededathardware/ironmongerypositions.
