【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverssolventcementforjoiningacrylonitrile-butadienestyrene(ABS)plasticpipeandfittingsforpressureandnonpressuresystems.Recommendationforusingsolventcementforjoiningacrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene(ABS)plasticpipeandfittingsisgivenin.Satisfactoryjoiningofpipeandfittingscannotbemadeinthepresenceofwater,aswaterdestroysthebondingabilityofsolventcement;therefore,allmaterialsmustbedryforsatisfactoryjoining.Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixeswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
