【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversmonolithicmethacrylatesheetsproducedbyvariousprocesses.Forthisspecification,methacrylatesheetshallbecomposedofpolymerizedacrylicmonomersofwhichatleast80%shallbemethylmethacrylate.Note18212;ThisspecificationisintendedtoconsolidatetherequirementsoftheCastMethacrylatePlasticSheetsportionofdiscontinuedFed.Spec.L-P-391D,discontinuedSpecificationD702,CastMethacrylatePlasticSheets,Rods,TubesandShapes,anddiscontinuedSpecificationD1547,ExtrudedAcrylicPlasticSheet.1.2Thisspecificationisintendedtocoveracrylicsheetforgeneral-purposeapplications.Forspecialtyapplicationsconsulttheappropriateusestandards.1.3Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section8,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.4Acrylicsheetisusedfrequentlyinapplicationsinwhichextremeclarity,lackofopticaldistortionandabsenceofanyforeignparticulatematterareofprimarysignificance.Regroundmaterialmaybeusedaslongascarefulcontrolisusedtoeliminateadverseeffectsontheseproperties.TheuseofrecycledmaterialintypeB-1andB-2sheet,mayhaveadverseeffectsonthesepropertieswhichwouldprecludeitsuseinmostcases.TheuseofrecycledorregroundmaterialisnotpossiblefortypeA-1andA-2materialssincethesheetisproduceddirectlyfrommonomerNote28212;ThisstandardissimilartoISO7823-1:1987(E)intitleonly.Thetechnicalcontentissignificantlydifferent.
